Yesterday's Activity

Volunteers are essential to the work of the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.  Volunteers can also help the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation by keeping the Trail tidy and by representing us at local events.

There are several ways to get involved with the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation:

  1. Our Trail Ambassador Program

  2. Bi-annual Trail Clean ups: Dates can be found HERE. Sign ups for our September 28th clean-up can be found HERE.

  3. James River Jubilee: On August 25th, we need help at our info tent for this fun celebration! Please sign up HERE.

  4. Stone’s Throw Down: On September 21st, we are looking for some beer pourers and with our info tent. Please sign up HERE.

  5. The Cap2Cap Bike Ride will be on May 9th, 2020. Cap2Cap is our biggest annual fundraiser and offers many volunteer opportunities. These opportunities are available in the Spring.

  6. The Rocketts Landing Cap Trail 10M/5K Run/Walk is our newest event! All volunteering opportunities for this can be found HERE.

  7. Please email if you are interested in doing a Trail cleanup on your own and would like supplies (trash grabber, gloves, and trash bags).

If you’re interested in contributing your time, please email, and let us know how you’d like to help. You can also keep up with volunteering opportunities by subscribing to our e-newsletter, following us on Facebook and other social media outlets, or checking out the latest VCTF news on our website.

Thanks for your interest!
