Coming this fall - October 24!

The fall run you know and love is back with a fresh new look and some exciting additions for 2026!

Join us on Saturday, October 24, for the Cap Trail Classic and the debut of our Half Marathon. Runners can also take on the Mummy Mile, then celebrate at the Finish Line Party Zone with music, cold beer, local vendors, and our first-ever Awards Ceremony, with awards by Lucky Road Run Shop. You’ll also find Party Pacers and Cheer Stations along the course, brought to you by our 2026 Charity Partner, We Off the Couch.

And yes, we brought back finisher medals! Every runner who crosses the finish line will receive a medal to celebrate their accomplishment.

One important note for race day: the Cap Trail Classic is a cup-less race. Water stops will not have disposable cups, so please plan to bring your own water bottle, hydration bladder, or collapsible cup. Thanks for helping us cut down on single-use waste and keep the Trail a little cleaner.

Whether you're racing for a personal record, running in costume, or simply soaking up the festive fall atmosphere, there's a run for you. Expect scenic miles, top-finisher prizes, a falltastic finisher medal, and plenty of fun along the Virginia Capital Trail.
