Temporary Trail closure in Henrico County on Wednesday, October 29, between MM 47 & MM 48
From 9 am to 2 pm, on Wednesday, October 29, VDOT construction crews will be working near the Varina Veterinary Clinic between MM 47 & MM 48 on the Capital Trail. A detour will be provided during this time. Please use caution, follow posted signs, and plan your route accordingly.
Lighting Installation Planned for 2025 near mm 51 (Rocketts Landing)
Self-sustaining lighting will be installed along the Capital Trail throughout the Rocketts Landing area (between MM 50 - MM 51) for increased pedestrian safety. Installation timeframe TBA.
bridge deck work scheduled for 2025
The bridge deck just west of MM 3 is scheduled to get an epoxy overlay. The estimated timeframe is Fall/Winter 2025.
