The Hare & Tortoise 8k & 5k Run/Walk is taking place on Saturday, September 13, from 7 am to 1 pm in James City County. The route includes Greensprings Interpretive Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail, and a small section of the Capital Trail (near MM 2). Please use caution and be alert for race participants passing.

Lighting Installation Planned for 2025 near mm 51 (Rocketts Landing)

Self-sustaining lighting will be installed along the Capital Trail throughout the Rocketts Landing area (between MM 50 - MM 51) for increased pedestrian safety. Installation timeframe TBA.
