Due to Winter Storm Fern, the Virginia Capital Trail is covered in ice and extremely slick. Current conditions are unsafe for Trail use. Please prioritize your safety and avoid the Trail until conditions improve.
Lighting Installation Planned for 2025 near mm 51 (Rocketts Landing)
Self-sustaining lighting will be installed along the Capital Trail throughout the Rocketts Landing area (between MM 50 - MM 51) for increased pedestrian safety. Installation expected to be completed by the end of March 2026. For more details, please click here.
