The Ride (Frequently Asked Questions)
The routes follow Route 5, The Virginia Capital Trail and surrounding local roads. The 7 Mile Fun Ride follows the Dorey Park Trail Connector to the Trail and out to Four Mile Creek Trailhead and back. All other routes use local roads and the Capital Trail. The routes are fully marked with a police presence at major intersections. Riders will be provided with route maps and cue sheets before the ride. Finalized route maps with updated rest stop information will be published soon.
There will be parking on site a short walk from the venue and starting line. If you have questions regarding accessibility please e-mail us at email@example.com
Rest stops provide snacks, water, sports drinks, basic first aid supplies, portable toilets, and basic bike technician support. The location of rest stops along each route will be on the maps provided as well as indicated on the cue sheets. Rest stops will be evenly spaced along every route.
There will be police and EMS support along the route as well as SAG vehicles available via cell phone to assist riders along the routes. SAG numbers will be printed on every rider's bib number.

What should I bring?
All of our riders have different needs and we do our best to meet all of them. Just bring your bike, helmet, and any riding gear you may need and you're all set. Some other items brought by riders include: sunglasses, sunscreen, additional snacks, extra clothes/gear, and portable phone chargers.
What distance should I ride?
We encourage everyone of all skill levels to participate in our ride which is why we offer four different distances. If you want to switch to a shorter distance just indicate so before 5/8/19 via email for no additional charge. A $5 transfer fee will apply to all changes made at Friday or Saturday packet pickup. Any changes to longer distances (ex: switching from the 52 mile to the 100 mile) will be subject to additional charges. If you should decide while riding that you are unable to finish, SAG vehicles will be available to assist you.
