Corner Pocket Fundraiser a Huge Success

On November 20, 2008, the VCTF held a fundraiser at The Corner Pocket restaurant in Williamsburg. The public was invited to come and enjoy good food and great company, and hear updates on the Virginia Capital Trail from Foundation staff and board members.

As it turns out, the community came out in force, in a show of support that exceeded expectations. Corner Pocket owner and VCTF board member Lynn Allison put together a group of $250 sponsors who made the event possible, and guests were asked to donate $35. The turnout was impressive and based on the feedback, everyone enjoyed the event immensely.

“This was so much fun! What a great event for a great cause.” said attendee and staunch Trail supporter Jeff Armbruster.
