Cap2Cap Riders Send Their Approval

Beth, great course, great volunteers and munchies.  Well done!  Thanks.
Sean Oatmeyer

Beth,
I had a great time on Saturday, even though it started out with
rooster tails spraying everywhere. Nine of us made the ride in 5 hours and 3 minutes and had a great time in the process. Thanks to all the volunteers who made it even better. I was wondering if there will be any pictures posted from the ride and where they would be. Thanks for your help.

Jeff Gainer

Beth,
I hope the ride was a great success! I know it was a great experience for me. This was my first century and I will certainly remember it fondly. Everything was very organized and the rest stops were abundantly supplied and just the right distance apart. Thank you for a great day! I am looking forward to next year already!

Beth,
Saturday's ride turned out well.
The weather cooperated and no rain this year. You guys were organized  and everything, from my perspective went smoothly.
Thanks to all for their hard work in making the event happen.

Duront Walton

THANK YOU!!!!!
It was wonderful, the rest stops, lunch, volunteers and support crews were outstanding.  I took a few wrong turns but it made no difference to a very enjoyable day and ride.

Kate Grant

Great ride. We look forward to doing it every year.

Beth,
Three years ago when I rode there were only about 400 cyclists. You obviously have done a super job of promotion getting over 1,000 hardy souls this year. Also, thanks for all the e-mails, it's great to know what's going on. It also makes us sound smarter when we talk it up to our friends.

Dave Lipp

Beth,
I believe you helped me with my registration.  Me and my two friends had a blast and the ride was really well organized and managed.  We loved the countryside and the weather was fine.  All the riders were very friendly and the staff very jovial and good spirited - especially the guys that rode from the Dorey Park Registration after having volunteered all morning.  They were a hoot. Bravo to you and the rest of your crew!  Awesome job, beautiful ride.

Cynthia (100 mile rider)

The Cap2Cap was my first century. I could not have found a more appropriate event.  Although the weather was a little chilly near the end, it was still great for the ride. I would like to mention the wonderful hospitality of the Richmond Area Bicycle Club and, in particular, Jack Huber.  He rode with me on the return trip from Williamsburg giving me encouragement along the way.
Great scenery, wonderful fellowship, and good weather: What more could you ask for in a ride?  Thank you and all involved for their work and efforts to link the two capitals with safe trails.

Thank you Beth! The route was amazing and I want to tell you the group of guys I was riding with are already planning to go back up and ride it again before summers end. The support staff was fantastic...one of our riders had a flat that chewed a hole in his sidewall and had to call in the SAG wagon for assistance and was still able to get 65 miles of the century completed.
Such a scenic and varied terrain and to ride in support of the Capital Trail made it worth all the self induced suffering. Our time on the bike for the century was just over 5 hrs. and 10 min. Cheers until next year!

Bryan Maurer

Great job!  Thanks to all of you for making it a terrific ride--it was very well organized and executed extremely well...my gaggle of 5 did the 100 then went off on Sunday for additional 25...thank goodness for hot tubs.
Again thanks to all -- we look forward to next year...the barbecue was awesome!  can't wait for the entire Cap-to-cap trail to be complete!
